Uprising against the bus driver Rheinbahn
Dusseldorf - On Friday, an employee complains of Rheinbahn Bustochter Maassen in a labor court because of unpaid overtime, wage negotiations broke down on Monday. It threatens the great drivers revolt!
Maassen is part of the travel service for three years, the Rhine Railway, is a 100 percent subsidiary. Whenever the urban transport companies in the region fighting for contracts for bus services, Maassen is sent forward.
Because of a controversial own collective agreement, the subsidiary is much cheaper. But now the 60 people fed up. They complain of mini-wages, unpaid overtime, lousy working conditions and Mobbing.Selim Yildirgan sits from the outset for Maaßen at the helm. "From my 60 colleagues with whom I started 2006, have perhaps ten left, all others have jettisoned."
Yildirgan now complains. "The overtime will be billed incorrectly. Actually, we have 169.4 hours per month, overtime pay for the company but only from 173 hours. "But that's just one problem. "The working conditions are getting worse. The services will be longer lasting, it is ten, twelve hours on the road. There are also dilapidated buses. "
That Yildirgan gets 1751 euros gross per month. In Rheinbahn salaried colleagues already getting young professionals as 1940 Euro. Since there are no salary increases in Maassen, increases the difference after a few years to nearly 1,000. "Only then we can play at the level of private competition and win tenders," said Rheinbahn spokesman Georg Schumacher.
So now threatens to strike. The Verdi union wants to negotiate a new collective agreement, the Rheinbahn has no tolerance. On Monday, the negotiations were broken off from the Rhine railway. "We will respond," says Verdi-man Birk Beyer.
